How is PGDM-IB from JIMS, Rohini? Do IB students get equivalent opportunities in placements as PGDM- general get?
Asked about Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini - Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
I scored 542 in February MAT. Which is better PGDM IB+ finance or PGDM IB+marketing?

I am studying PGDM in International Business from JIMS- Rohini. Yes, no wonder IB students get the same level of opportunities that PGDM general students get be, in terms of placement opportunities or course curriculum, IB is no less than the general course. Also, you get a chance to do dual specialization with a major in either marketing or finance with a minor specialization in international business.

Dear Riya,
PGDM-IB is equally good as PGDM General, it's just a perception that only PGDM gen is good as a large no. of students are pursuing it. PGDM-IB gives you opportunity to learn international business, import and export, logistic management and marketing. In addition for placements you can sit in both the companies who are coming for IB as well as marketing yet students from general department can only sit in marketing or other specialised course.
I hope my answer helped you.
Thank you -

7 years agoDear Riya,
IB students get equivalent opportunity everywhere, as PGDM general get. They can sit for the placement in same company in which PGDM general are applying. So, don't worry about it. I will suggest you PGDM IB with marketing as per my opinion growth in marketing is high with handsome salary package.
Thank you. -
PGDM-IB hold a record of good placements but in comparison to PGDM-general it's not that good, but this is going to be in every college with multiple specializations. PGDM-general students are always a priority for companies.
For marketing or finance, you can choose where your interest lies, placement for both PGDM-IB (Marketing and finance) are good. -
Dear Riya,
PGDM -IB in JIMS Rohini is a very good program leading you towards the core knowledge of international business, import -export, logistics management and so on. IB can be chosen with a major specialization of either Marketing or Finance. Both Marketing and Finance has the same placement scenario as in PGDM -Gen program. All the Best.
