How is PIBM, Pune for summer internship programs?

All PIBM students undergo a one-month Winter Internship and two-months Summer Internship Program. Internships give ample amounts of industry exposure which helps the students to take better and clear decisions regarding their future. It also enables the students to be ready to face the corporate challenges and get a better understanding of how the companies work in real life. Just after the completion of the second semester, PIBM students get an opportunity to have 2-3 months long summer internships in diverse sectors, companies and profiles of their choices. The main objective of the Summer Internship Program (SIP) is to provide a window to the students to develop a deep understanding of their respective domains, understanding the various job profiles under their domain and the respective skill sets required. Summer Internship not only bridges the gap between the theoretical and practical application but also enhances the skill sets and knowledge required to grow vigorously in the corporate world. This internship helps the students to get a better understanding of the corporate world, to explore the various sectors and profiles available, understanding the work role and the requirements of the organization. At PIBM, students are not only trained to learn but also to perform in an organization, which prepares students for better placement opportunities.

PIBM offers both MBA (Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University) and PGDM (Affiliated to AICTE) offering Marketing, Finance, HR, Digital Marketing & Business Analytics as their core specializations. PIBM provides dual internships i.e, Winter internship Program (WIP) & Summer internship Program (SIP), which provides the students with the practical exposure and its functioning of the companies. WIP is offered right after the 1st semester exam and the duration on internship is of 1-month, which also helps students to decide which specialization to take in their 2nd year. SIP is offered in 2nd year after the 2nd semester and has the duration of min 2 months. SIP's main objective is to provide the deep knowledge & understanding about the field they choose in their 2nd year, that will help them shape their career.

PIBM provides Summer Internship Program (SIP) opportunity to every student. Top companies from diverse sectors visit the campus to interview students for internships. Internships are offered in top companies such as Reliance, Britannia, Amul, Pantaloons, ICICI Lombard, Naukri.com, Haier, Marico, Fab Hotels, LG, Hitachi, and many more. Most of the internships are paid or few are unpaid. SIP provides immense learning to every student.

Hi, PIBM has dual internships which I think is quite unique if compared to other B-schools. It has Winter Internship Program and Summer Internship Program. WIP is offered after 1st sem and SIP after 2nd sem.

PIBM Pune is very good for the summer internship program. As college provides internships with top colleges like Dabur, ITC, Britannia, Pantaloons, TIAA, Deloitte, and many more.
