Hi Debasish, As there are relatively less Universities in India which offer affiliation to autonomous institutes to promote Animation education, some of which are IGNOU, KSOU etc, PTU is one of these and as for the University recognition is concerned, it is approved by the UGC to carry out these courses. Hence, you can definitely go ahead with the animation course. All the best!

Affiliation whenever there with UGC, AICTE or DDE are always same. So there's not much to answer on 'how'. Look at the courses and delivery to understand what fits your need. Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Now shortlist some you want to visit. Do not hesitate to travel - this is about your life and career. After visiting those take a decision for yourself. Even if you have to travel to timbuctoo or chandigarh for that matter, it is important for your life, so do it. Wish you the best for your career.
