Thapar is a pretty good engineering institute overall. It has strong academics, good placements, experienced faculty and decent industry exposure. The institute is also ranked 29th in NIRF 2025 Engineering. If you're getting a good branch there, I'd definitely consider it.

Upvote My cousin studied at Thapar Institute, and he had a really good experience. He always talks about the campus, supportive faculty, and the placement opportunities. If you're willing to work hard, Thapar gives you plenty of opportunities to grow.

Honestly, for BTech CSE I'd pick Thapar. It has a stronger engineering reputation, better placement opportunities and a stronger peer group overall. Chitkara is decent too, but if you have both options, I'd go with Thapar.
