How is the campus life and placement record of SIOM?

Dear Sai, I have no knowledge of SIOM for placements and campus life, but being alumni of LPU. I can share the details of LPU with you. When I first entered LPU I was feeling fascinated by looking at the infrastructure of the Campus and on the other hand, I was also feeling very nervous about my life at Campus Hostel but trust me I shouldn't have been because I had an awesome Hostel Life, Made so many friends, created so many memories, learned from many experiences, etc. All facilitates are provided at the Campus Hostel and you'll have the complete choice to choose the accommodation that suits you and your budget. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination: Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exist here. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess: Honestly I won't lie about the mess at the campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like a mess. If you're one of them very good and if not then fab you're in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all about the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym: There are so many places at Campus for outdoor games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you'll have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. I don't know about SIOM but being an alumni of LPU. Let me share some insights. LPU has formed a contemporary record in the whole of North India by placing its student Tanya Arora with Microsoft, who bagged a package of 42 LPA. Additionally, other record-breaking placements for LPU includes: the highest Placement (Engineering) Rs. 42 Lacs per annum (Microsoft) the highest Placement (Management) Rs. 19.75 Lacs per annum (SOBHA Developers) the highest Placement (Design) Rs. 15 Lacs per annum (Trident Group) Amazon recruited LPU students on a package of 28 LPA The highest internship stipend is up to 80k per month. (which is really hard to get in other universities) The reason why LPU has better placement records than other universities is because of its unique career cell. It enables students in getting relevant work experience to complement their studies and develop appropriate skills and knowledge. Resume writing, aptitude development workshops among other activities are hosted for the overall development of students and prepare them to crack the interviews easily. Alumni of LPU are working with top-notch brands globally with a package of more than 1 crore. Right from Google to Apple, students are working worldwide. Some of the top recruiters are Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, IBM, Informatica, Capgemini, SAP, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, Ashok Leyland, Voltas, Mercedes Benz, Honda, Daikin, Renault Nissan, Sony, Adobe, Virtusa, KPIT, Morgan Stanley, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Trident Group, Infineon, KPMG, Colgate-Palmolive and the list still goes on. The best thing I like about LPU about placement is, they provide placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year. LPU received an Employability award by Aspiring Mind in 2020 for best placement Institute in India. LPU is ranked 10th best university for Training and Placement in 2019 by Knowledge Review LPU got the Golden Star Award 2018 for being the University with the best placements in India. I am not quite aware of SIOM but LPU is one such University that has an ultra-modern lush green sprawling campus at the national highway near Jalandhar, LPU's infrastructure is considered one of the biggest and best in the world. The campus has transformed a lot over the past years and introduced some superb facilities like state-of-the-art laboratories, a central library, well-equipped labs, premium boys and girls hostel, world-class smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, theatres, museum, auditoriums, indoor stadium, and playground There is also a well-planned cricket stadium, shopping malls, dining options, hospital, ATMs, banks, post office, food joints & cafeterias, in-house laundry, gym, lounge, and many more located within the campus LPU has the largest residential capacity globally, having all the facilities to serve the fundamental needs. It is, in short, a 'city on a campus. ' Some of the points why one must consider B.Tech from LPU. 1. The campus life over here is totally vibrant. You won't feel bore in campus. Every time, there is one or another thing going on, be it academics, be it sports, you name it and for placement records I can tell you it is 100%. <p>The campus life would be busy and interesting at SIOM. You can try to prepare mentally to work in the course itself. The placement record is good at SIOM &ndash; Pune. The average salary package offered is Rs.8 lakhs to Rs.10 lakhs per annum. All the best.</p>
