How is the campus life, are there any extracurricular activities?

Dear Divayanshi, I don't know about Deccan Education Society- Institute of Management Development and Research- IMDR but being alumni of LPU, I am sharing campus life there, When I first entered LPU I was feeling fascinated by looking at the infrastructure of the Campus and on the other hand, I was also feeling very nervous about my life at Campus Hostel but trust me I shouldnt have been because I had an awesome Hostel Life, Made so many friends, created so many memories, learned from many experiences, etc. All facilitates are provided at the Campus Hostel and youll have the complete choice to choose the accommodation that suits you and your budget. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination: Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesnt exist here. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess: Honestly I wont lie about the mess at the campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like a mess. If you're one of them very good and if not then fab you're in my gang so, you dont have to worry at all about the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you dont feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym: There are so many places at Campus for outdoor games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where youll have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. I am not quite aware of the campus life in Deccan Education Society- Institute of Management Development and Research- IMDR but I must say that whenever you are choosing any University, you must first check about its environment, rules, and regulations. For your studies and development, you must require a proper environment where you can make your personality and learn discipline, making you more professional and active. If you want to grow and also want a safe environment then LPU is really a very better option for you. With some of my points, I can assure you that this university will provide you with the best and the safest environment for your growth and development. In LPU, a student should follow each and every rule very strictly. If any of them are found disobeying any rule, then a big punishment is there for them and they may also get suspended. So, here rules are followed very strictly and by doing this we can learn discipline. Ragging is strictly prohibited here. Nobody in this university is allowed to do ragging or bullying any student. If however, you find anyone doing such kind of activities you can complain about it to any faculty or any other staff about it and he or she will definitely get punished for such things. So, anyone roams freely on the campus without any fear. The Guards are present everywhere within the campus to maintain to protect the students and to provide any kind of facilities to them. Due to their presence, no student can think do any kind to of bad activity like teasing, bullying or harming other fellows. If you need any help you can ask the guards. They have very kind and friendly nature and they are always there to help you. Girls who are staying in hostels are given a fixed time to enter their respective hostels. The timings are 6 pm during winters and 7 or 7:30 during summers. No girl is allowed to go outside the hostel after this time or if any girl comes late then their respective wardens give a phone call to their parents to tell about it. This step is taken to provide safety to girls. Due to this rule, our parents are assured that we are safe. Use of alcohol, cigarettes or any kind of harmful things is strictly prohibited in the campus. Nobody not allowed to drink alcohol or taking drugs on campus. If anyone is found doing such things, his/her scholarship gets canceled and he or she will be suspended. Besides academics, our university provides us with a lot of opportunities to pursue our extracurricular interests. For those interested in sports, the campus is equipped with all necessities like a basketball court, cricket ground, swimming pool, and more. Students interested in volunteer work can get into government organizations such as NSS. Plenty of student-driven organizations help improve public speaking, leadership qualities, peer mentoring, and also efficiency in teamwork. Performing on stage in front of thousands of people helps boost your confidence. All these skills help you build a strong CV and help to stay career-oriented. Communication Skills The most important thing that an interviewer looks for is communication skill. And, it requires practice because it is not something you can learn by simply reading a book. Engaging in an extracurricular activity makes you talk to different people, each having a wide range of interests. With this, you can estimate how precisely you must communicate with a person. Dedication When you are engaged in some extracurricular activity, you try to dedicate a specific time to that particular activity. You will understand that time dedicated will pay you off because you learn something wonderful. It also improves your work ethics and teaches you how dedicated one must be during work. Leadership and Teamwork Working together wins a game and the same goes for teamwork. Leading the team improves our leadership qualities. Working in a team teaches you how to get along with different people; this helps to expand your horizons. It also helps with learning and adapting new and creative ideas. Improves Academic Performance With consistency in adapting these skills helps balance your academic performance as well. Moreover, it boosts your time management skills and manages work without stress.

Campus life is decent. We do have events like Sanskruti and Kshitij.

Imdr has a good campus life and it give it student the ample opportunities in various department and IMDR provides students to grow and it provides opportunities to handle various department like Finance ,HR ,Marketing and Also in Junior placement comity (JPC) and Senior placement comity (SPC) where you can work with this department and can get experience of various activity which goes on beside studies also .
