DAV College Jalandhar is excellent for commerce stream. The college offers various degrees in commerce fields like Bachelor of commerce B.Com regular), Bachelor of Commerce (honors in banking and insurance), Bachelor of Commerce (financial services), Bachelor of business administration BBA and Masters of commerce M.Com in accounting and finance). It also offers B.Voc in retail management.

Here is a placement cell in DAV College which is very helpful for both training and placements. Students who clear their entry test of placements and score more than 60% marks in the last examination get placed. Last year around, 60% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Suzuki, Wipro, Tata, etc. , are the top recruiting companies. Clerk, manager, etc. , were the top roles offered to students. In our course, the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA.
