Australia is amongst the most popular study abroad destination, it is one of the happiest countries and has some of the best student cities. Living costs are high, education costs are not too high and hence preferred by many. Work permit schemes are attractive for graduates. International students are also allowed to work part time. Having said this you should be aware of your surroundings and research well before applying. Communicate with the universities and alumni and its students and research well.
