Being a alumni of lpu, I would say, Lovely Professional University is close to my heart. Ive spend some of the very memorable days of my college life here and looking forward to so much more. Ive tried summing up my experience so far, below: If I talk about Infrastructure, LPU's campus is one of the largest lush green campuses of India which is spread over 600+ acres. Gym, Hi-Speed 24 Hrs free Wi-Fi service, Swimming pool. Very good central Library of 6 floors and huge collection of text-books and reference books. The campus has its own hospital, hotel, and a mall. The classes are well-designed with all the latest amenities available. Lovely Professional University has around more than 2000 faculty members in the university. The university has experienced, specialised and well-qualified faculty members. Some of the faculty members are from IITs, NITs, IIITs, Iims etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. Professors of LPU are renowned for their friendly, open door approach. They bring their passion and enthusiasm for teaching into the classroom providing an intimate, interactive, personalized approach to learning The faculty members are invited by the International Universities for the seminars and conferences of International level. Research papers are published by the Faculty members. Faculty is involved in research and Patents are filed by the different faculty departments also. The faculty recruited by the university are only either experienced or an alumni of NIT's or IIT's, Iims Teaching mode is English, thus students who come from across India will be comfortable. The management is student friendly and helps out every one in need. Thee best part at LPU is that the feedback of students are frequently taken and considered I. e if they are facing any problem with any professor or not liking the way he teaches then they can report it to head of dept who reports the same to head of school and finally the teacher gets replaced. LPU floats more than 250 programmes out of which B.Arch is one high in demand. # The Architecture Programmes are approved by Council of Architecture (COA), a statutory body of the Government of India for the regulation of the architectural education and practice of profession as required. There is a different school for B.Arch I. e. School of Architecture that provides differential programme outcome from basic to the advanced one I. e the School inculcates practical implication and go beyond the conceptual understanding. # The programme is structured in five groups taking care of the every dimension of the growing and ever changing design industry viz. Core Courses, Supporting Courses, Skill Development Courses, Management Courses, Elective Courses. #The curriculum is benchmarked against the most renowned institutions of the world and is further strengthened through live design projects which help thorough assimilation of theoretical concepts. # The focus is on application oriented teaching with live architecture design projects, extensive model and field work. LPU believes in providing real life exposure instead of just book knowledge. Students are exposed to real site situations through in house and external visits for visual orientation. # Emphasis is given on the Entrepreneurship projects/Consultancy projects which give cutting edge to the students of the University. Hello! Manipal University is indeed a good college for architecture and engineering studies among the private universities of India. This university has shown the high placements index for the architecture course. For infrastructure, Manipal is good. They have Wi-Fi enabled their entire campus for facilitating the students to all its course structure. Apart from this, they have very diversified culture. Labs are in very good condition from tools to barometer. Faculty members are also very knowledgeable and qualified in this field. Most of the faculty members have done their Ph.Ds in this stream. So, my suggestion says that Manipal University is a good college for pursuing B.Arch. Hence, if you are able to grab a seat in this college then go for it! Hope this helps. Good luck.
