How is the faculty? Which sports are available? What is the scope for extra curricular activities?

Faculty : All the faculties are from a Ph.D. background. Mostly they live on the campus and you can reach them anytime. They're always ready to help in one way or the other. They normally try that we learn on our own. Spoon feeding is not entertained here. You can also reach them by email IDs or a call. ll the faculty members are very good in teaching and all are well educated , most of them are coming from different IITs in india and some of them are coming from outside india. all the feculty members are very hardworking in research and in teaching too. Faculty of my college has a very good command on their subject s. All of them are graduated from IIT or other foreign universities. Most of them are involving in some research projects and published many research papers every year. They have some teaching assistants who help us in lab work. Sports: The lawns are beautiful. Sports complex and resource center all well maintained and stocked. The Sports complex has three Badminton courts and four table tennis tables. Resources for other indoor games like carroms, chess are also available. There are two basketball courts and two volleyball courts adjacent to the football & cricket ground. The students in DA-IICT are divided into groups know as DA-IICT leagues which compete with each other every weekend in all sports activities. The college teams of Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Cricket participate in various local and national level tournaments. The sports committee also invites colleges and clubs across Gujarat like Sabarmati Recreation Club, SAI, Mamta club, SGVP, SVIT-Anand to improve the standard of sports in DA-IICT and also to improve relations with the sports community in Gujarat. Extra curricular activities : A festival of knowledge and culture that falls generally in February-March each year. It links together different knowledge networks and reinforces the significance of Innovation, Interaction, Information, Communication and Technology in the 21st century through the agencies of panel discussions, lectures, workshops, exhibitions and exciting competitive events. It serves as a meeting place for creative minds to discuss their ideas and allow for testing of their ideas in the face of intense competition, rigorous evaluations and a touch of the carnival.

DAIICT has a lot of opportunities. Faculty and the course structure is very satisfactory. The faculties are open to doubts and discussions and the projects given by them help in better understanding of the subject. Sports available are: Cricket, long tennis, table tennis, chess, football, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. There are teams of boys and girls. These teams also go to nearby colleges for competitions and they have outstation trips as well like in BITS, Goa. There are many other clubs like dance, theatre, music, photography etc.
