How is the Hostel life for Girls in LPU?

I am alumni of LPU and I have spent 5 years in the LPU hostel, I hope this will help you get a clear picture of the kind of life a hosteller leads at the Lovely Professional University. Hostel life in LPU is pretty amazing. The moments lived in the hostel are precious for everyone. The friends you make, the memories to follow. The facilities in the hostel premises also matter the most in order to enjoy the real fun of hostel life. I stayed at the university hostel and had a marvelous time there. The campus of Lovely Professional University is great! There is everything you could possibly need on the campus itself. There are banks, salons, shopping malls, ATMs, etc. There are facilities to play sports like cricket, basketball and fun games like bowling, skating, snooker, etc. Coming to food, From North Indian to African to Chinese to Italian, all kinds of cuisines are available on the campus. The mess food is also decent. If you want to avoid junk food, mess food will keep you full and healthy. This University has a Centralised Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities do not happen in the university. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Hostelers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permission from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards, and CCTVs so no loopholes where they can sneak from. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in a specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out of the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. NO OUTSIDERS is allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Hostel life in LPU is worth experiencing. This is the only thing I would like to add in the last. Some things just can't be explained in words. You have to experience them personally.

Hi Sameeksha, parents are really getting worried once their wards far from their home for study. So they always check for Safe & Secured residential facility before taking the final decision for admission. This is applicable for both Boys & Girls. Being an alumni of LPU, I have seen that, security of Girls is taken care of in the highest controlled & strict way in Lovely Professional University. 1. Woman security guards are only there to take care of the Girls hostel. 2. Each & every hostels are free from illegal substances like tobacco, alcohol etc. 3. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. Of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. 4. Hostellers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. 5. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. 6. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. 7. NO OUTSIDERS is allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Meaning even if parents of students come for visit, they have the access to university through GATE pass only. 8. Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. 9. No boys are allowed to enter the girls hostel at any point of time. If girls enter after the time they are asked to list their name in the late entry register, which is further asked by the wardens during attendance, which is taken regularly. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above mentioned points for the hosteller but believe me at the end of day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. Being an alumni I would request you be assured about the safety and security of girls in the campus. LPU university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. It is manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. Our security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. A dedicated & expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. A majority of security personnel and gunmen are experienced ex-servicemen, fully equipped and trained. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. The security department provides the necessary electronic security support system with more than 4000 CCTV cameras for the safety of the students and staff. The University has its very own fire station department, fully equipped with a fire truck and trained firemen. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored.

I can feel the excitement in people who are looking forward to starting their hostel life in Lovely Professional University. Many of you might be very curious about the look and interior of the hostel. I stayed in LPU during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. Being a girl. Ill must say that LPU is one of the best university. For security purpose it is very reliable for the girls students. It also contributes the gratification to the parents as well because we are living far away from our homes. The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. This University have stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises.
