How is the life of teacher/lecturer or professors?

Does this profession give a peaceful life and mental, physical as well as economical stability like other professions (MBA etc.) which are highly recognized by our generation? I completed my B.Com with 73% marks & looking for worthy professions.

I have worked as a Lecturer for 43 years. We can't ever generalise experiences. A teacher is respected, if he is knowledgeable and sincere. It doesn't automatically get respect. Efficiency is respected in all fields. In the government sector, the salary is very good and there are many holidays.
