How is the mess facility of LPU?

Students can avail the mess plan two days prior to the start of the academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc. , an additional proportionate fee for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan. Customized plan (e. g. for a full calendar year) may be provided on request. Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 2 different categories I. e. Standard Food and Basic Food which includes both options of North Indian Food and Regional Food (South Indian).

Being an educational consultant, when I collect feedback from others regarding anything, I tend to go a little in detail than just skimming the top. More than 20000 students reside in the on-campus hostel and nearly &get;15000 avail food service. All the hostel have their own mess facilities. Governed by the separate department in the university, the hostel food is GOOD, like I said not HOME WALA GOOD, but GOOD. What you get is a planned diet, with salads, protein, vitamins, lentils, etc. No stale food, like the one which you might get in a restaurant, stalls, etc. Every meal is freshly prepared for a hot meal. The food inspector which tends to raid the hostel mess, ensures the workers to provide the optimum hygiene and quality use of products. One after the tiresome day can have a hot meal in a timely manner. Sometimes during some festive day like Diwali, Holi, they surprise you with some different meals. The main point is the cost as well, At around 30000 per annual, in less than 100 rupees per day, you are getting unlimited hot Breakfast/Lunch/Snacks and Dinner. Oh my, where will you get that otherwise? It will be light on your pocket as well. To tingle your taste buds, you can always skip meals and eat outside for a change. There are both Veg & Non-Veg mess facility available in Lovely Professional University. Multiple cuisines made available for the students of LPU as there are huge diversity of students available in LPU campus. For your information International cuisines are also available keeping in view that there are huge number of International students are available inside campus. Domestic cuisines are like North Indian / South Indian / Rajasthan / Haryanvi / Gujrati / Eastern / North-Eastern. Simple great: Being an alumnus of LPU, I believe I can answer your concern very well. LPU campus is so huge that you will easily find more than 400 kiosks within the campus from which you can have anything you want to eat. The hostel mess provides very tasty food. They have a food menu specially customized for students belonging to different zones. There are too many options to choose from. Even if you want to skip a meal, then also you can pay less accordingly. LPU also has a non-veg mess (third-party vendor) so you can opt for the plans accordingly. I hope this helps.

I am a alumni of LPU and I can tell you take it is actually a good place for ambitious and focused people to study in. If you want to explore, learn, grow and want to get placed in good companies then I must say please go ahead and take admission. I am in a better position to answer your question. First of all, my experience at LPU has been phenomenal. Honestly I won't lie about the mess at campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like mess. If your one of them very good and if not then fab your in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all for the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. MBA programme & believe me I really enjoyed each & every moment of my campus life. I never get bored & never feel alone in this happening University. Hello there, I guess I can give a review about mess food in LPU as I have been a hostler in LPU, Well to be very honest I had a very hard time for few days adjusting in the LPU hostel because it was my first time living in the hostel. And I was feeling homesick, but the good part was LPU hostels have so many facilities and a really good mess. I never missed my breakfast because who will miss the breakfast of Punjab k paranthee, or chole poor, or paneer parantha. Seriously I miss those hostel days when I used to run to mess for food and then class, and talking about lunch and dinner, well I opted for north Indian mess food, ( there is an option for a mess like south Indian and north Indian mess0 and damnn food was really tasty, I really liked the rajma and rice most, and also halwa which was so sweet to eat. I and my roommate always used to send snaps to our parents that look at what I ate today and what ate for my breakfast. So, basically, I can assure you mess food is really tasty and there are a wide variety of options daily like there's a menu which is followed and it keeps changes with time plus wardens take reviews also for food if students are satisfied or not. And the food inspector which tends to raid the hostel mess, ensures the workers provide the optimum hygiene and quality use of products. Also if you have food swings you can eat in canteen also or order something from restaurants or cafe. Basically, you'll never be hungry in LPU, because it's Punjab and then it's LPU. The mess food at LPU is good but if you get bored of mess food, there are around 350+ food shops at LPU. All the mess inside the campus are providing same food, In order to provide students with more flexibility and increased choice of food varieties, the university is providing more options to the students in selecting the mess, flexible food options etc. The details of various options being provided to the students are Choice of Menu Standard menu- The standard food menu is the same existing option being provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea with snack with unlimited quantity for most of the items. Basic Menu-The students are now also given to opt for Basic Food menu which will have limited items with fixed quantity for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner only (No tea with snacks will be available in Basic food menu). Everyday Food menu gets changed. I had some friends from Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Telangana so they were provided south Indian food and I am fond of Idli, vada, dosa so sometimes we used to shared the foods also.
