How is the mess food at Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering?

<p>Students at Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering are served with proper three meals with snacks at a set period and the mess food is sanitary.&nbsp;The students are responsible for managing and splitting the mess, and they must pay the true cost of their portion. Mess expenses are not covered by the annual hostel fee.</p>

<p>I would say the food that you get here is really good in comparison to other colleges. The mess is really clean 24/7 and they maintain great hygiene. The mess akkas and annas are really friendly ( better than some unnecessary rude people in the college). I was not a fan of South Indian food but I started admiring the same from my hostel days. In the mornings, you will be served with traditional South Indian recepies like Idli, uttapam, sambar, dosa and many more. Lunches can be little boring but you won't really bother about it as you will be in rush to go back to class. After a tiring day in college, when you go back to hostel, you will have pakodas/samosa/vadas to enjoy with your tea/coffee /milk. A typical dinner would be Chapati/rice with butter chicken, chicken 65, biryani and chilli chicken in the weekends. Sambar and rasam will be available throughout lunch and dinner. The menu is obviously monotonous just like any other hostel. But, common! Hostel food can't be better than this. Overall, the hostel food is good, you can survive 4 long years with this food. Talking about food in the college, there are two big canteens with a variety of food. A food cum xerox junction which we call as the Bay store where you get a lot of food and other relevant stuffs. Another food junction near the first year block which have ice creams, shawaramas and many more. You have a small store which is an extension of our college&rsquo;s Super market called Totham. You will find other small food stores in different parts of the college. You will never ever run out of food here! So, food is something you do not have to worry about if you are joining Hindustan.</p>
