How is the placement assistance of B.Tech in biotechnology in LPU?

I am planning to take admission in LPU for B.Tech in biotechnology.

Dear Ruthran, LPU provides ample opportunities to its students in all aspects. LPU has very good placements in biotechnology programmes. LPU received many awards as well for the placements. The Molecular Biology and genetic engineering domain promise to create a research-oriented and placement-oriented environment. The department regularly works on student research projects with novel ideas of applied value. Being alumni of LPU I will share details of placements and career prospects of this programme. Career Prospects:
Teaching in College, Junior/senior research fellow, Research posts in ICAR/CSIR labs, Stem cell therapeutics study, pathology labs, agriculture, quality assurance divisions in industries, Self Employed (Establishing small scale industries Production of Genetic engineered crops). List of Few Companies in this Field: Biocon Pvt Ltd. , Himalaya Spring, Nectar Life sciences Pvt Ltd. , Alchemist Pvt Ltd (Chandigarh), Panacea Biotech (Chandigarh), Ind, Shanta Biotech, Transsasia Pvt Ltd, Life-cell International (New Delhi), Reddys Laboratories, Government organizations. LPU Offered 100% placement in the biotechnology engineering programme to the students with an average package of 2.9LPA. Whereas companies like cactus communication Pvt. Ltd offered an Rs. 5.5 LPA package to the students at LPU. The best thing I like about LPU about placement is, they provide placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visit for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year. LPU received an Employability award by Aspiring Mind in 2020 for best placement Institute in India. LPU is ranked 10th best university for Training and Placement in 2019 by Knowledge Review

LPU is the largest university in India, Covering an area of 600+, this huge University has given a huge boost to the biotechnology sector in the last five years in the northern part of India. Many companies have visited the campus and have admitted the potential in LPU. LPU has best placement cell, students from biotechnology backgrounds get placed in top MNC. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, Root analysis, Cactus (and the list goes on) visit the campus every year. Also, the scope is just not limited to work in the corporate sector in areas like marketing, Quality controls or as research associative (for companies like Root analysis and Cactus) but also the research areas. Choosing a University is a big decision, as our career fully depends upon that. There are some key parameters that we should keep in mind before choosing any University, like, faculty, placements, international exposure, curriculum, alumni of that university. I would say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. She said, specializations may be offered in Dairy Technology or Fermentation Technology or Molecular Biotechnology (subject to minimum number of students and feasibility)
The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who arw ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology.
