How is the placement for aerospace engineering ? What are all the company in which u r senior ( aerospace engineerng ) got placed ?

Aerospace engineering in Amrita is a relatively new department. However, it has excellent faculty members all of whom have a PhD from a university abroad. The placements however, are very limited and the companies visiting for campus recruitment are very few. Companies who have already visited in the previous years are Goodrich Aerospace, Saffran etc. However, these companies have recruited more mechanical engineering students vis a vis aerospace engineering graduates. But on a lighter note, the department of aerospace provides excellent coaching facilities for higher education. For the last two years, the department has boasted of 13 ranks in the top 50 pan India in the GATE exam. So on the whole, it is not a great place for campus recruitment but a good place for gaining knowledge in the aerospace domain and also for pursuing higher studies.

As LPU alumni, One of my best friends did Aerospace Engineering at LPU. The Department has highly experienced and qualified staff. The students with the guidance of department are very active in the field of automobile research and activities.LPU is a right place for Aerospace Engineering. The programme comes with engineering minors: 1. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE 2. SPACE ENGINEERING and pathway electives: 3. ADVANCED AEROSPACE TESTING AND DOCUMENTATION for industry immersion. LPU is ranked among the top 3 in universities in India for tie-ups with more than 25 countries for international studies and internships. Dear Bharath, I have no idea about the Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham- Coimbatore - B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. But alumni of LPU, I can share the details of this programme at LPU with you. I will tell you why mechanical engineering is better at LPU. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculties and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure, LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions, and accreditations down the lane and marks itself amongst the few of the top private universities. The Mechanical Engineering programme seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc specialization. Being an alumni I want to share my thoughts on this as my sister has done the same course from LPU itself. Aerospace is a specialized branch of engineering which deals with the skills and knowledge to design, manufacture and maintain spacecrafts, aircrafts, missiles and weapons systems. The course curriculum covers aspects of two branches of engineering - aeronautical and astronautically engineering. The course also focuses on new technologies in aviation, defence systems, and space exploration. It also includes aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials science, structural analysis and manufacturing. PLACEMENTS: Companies like Every year more than 550 companies visit LPU for placement purposes. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Bosch, and Siemens Home Appliances, Volkswagon, Unominda, Voltas, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt., Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, VA tech Wabag, Thermax, Bristlecone, Tex Fasteners, GigaSolar, Westline Shipping, Raam Group, Nylocore Transmissions. First batch started in 2016 with class of 27 students, out of which 19 has registered for placements and 8 students decided to go for higher studies. Out of 19 students, 13 are placed (70% Placed) and still there are many placement drives to happen till the month of July to secure more than 100% Placement by offering dual offer letters to some students. As per my knowledge and findings, I would like to capture your attention on that the following are the programme details : Designed for learners intend to design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles. In addition, these engineers test prototypes to make sure that they function according to plans. These professionals also design components and sub-assemblies for these craft like engines, air-frames, wings. Eligibility Details :Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST & For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.(5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants).The programme comes with engineering minors: 1. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE 2. SPACE ENGINEERING and pathway electives: 3.
