    Hello Ankit,
    Presently in India, job prospects in this branch are quite low. Students are getting placed in routine mechanical engineering jobs. However, after four years, when you pass out, situation may have changed.

    Well, you cannot pursue robotics with the mechanical engineering. If you are interested in the robotics then either go for EC branch or robotics branch because mechanical and robotics are purely different from one another. You should go for robotics which is widely famous in modern era and really huge scope.
