I read in a news paper that recently Lovely Professional University entered the most prestigious club of top 200 universities in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. School of Mechanical Engineering is among the best engineering colleges in Punjab. I had some friends in Mechanical dept. And they had great things to say about the mechanical engineering department. The mechanical dept. Has more than 40 labs for experimentation works. Many brands like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. Have been visiting LPU for recruiting mechanical engineers. Honda offered packages of 7.9 LPA, Hettich India and Giga Solar offered package of 5 LPA and 2.4 LPA to students of final year for internships. XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more have been recruiting students of mechanical engineering of LPU. As far as teaching is concerned, majority of the faculty members are Ph.D. and other are pursuing Ph.D. The teachers teach in a very effective way and follow the latest teaching pedagogies. The Mechanical dept. Organizes many conferences and guest lectures in which top management from leading mechanical industry takes part and deliver quality content to the students. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering Physics engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream and they both got placed in Hyundai India Motor Ltd. As far as Mechanical engineering is concerned, I can tell you this course carries extra baggage and it is very fruitful if you choose LPU as a medium. I would like to share their experiences:- A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in students in addition to giving them international exposure. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. The placement record of LPU is very good, as more than 600+ companies visit campus. If I talk about B.Tech mechanical engineering. Students have got very good packages. School of Mechanical Engineering is among the best engineering colleges in Punjab. If I talk about overall the placements are very good, just the thing is you have to focus on the goal. This university is best for the student who really wants to learn and grow in their respected fields.
