How is the scope of VFX in India now? Is it diminishing?

No, not at all. Get rid of this thought. Basically India is a media and entertainment savvy nation and is also produces the highest number of feature films in the world with over 1000 films every year. Every film has minimum 50-100 VFX shots to maximum 4000-5000 shots. VFX is a laborious and highly skilled work. For a film like Bahubali, it took two years to complete the VFX with over 600 artists working on it. So, you can imagine the number of people required and the volume of work which needs to be done from time to time. I am just talking about films. If you take the volume of work in Television and advertising, it just becomes much higher. Gaming and VFX is totally a practical and professional degree. As, media industry is growing gradually in the aspects. These courses are climbing the stairs of demand day by day. LPU offers B. Design in gaming, which is a 4-year programme, the cutting edge course. By the gestation period of 4 years, LPU is producing the Industry ready products. I heard many of their students are already working as a freelancer with many production houses as there are many production houses in the Punjab now. You can say, LPU and their students are grabbing this as an opportunity to enhance the practice on workstations. I must say that LPU is a perfect institute for Animation and Multimedia. The biggest strength of LPU in this course is, they have made professionally skilled faculty members available.

Hi Mahima, In filmmaking, visual effects (abbreviated VFX) are the processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shot. The future or or scope in india of VFX is shining because it is growing at a high rate &amp; it is not only in demand by children, also in demand with youth &amp; upper age group.
