If you mean University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES)- Dehradun, then as per its official website UPES is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is the first university under Public-Private Partnership.
UPES is accredited by Nation
