    Established in 1951, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a coeducational institution which is known to be a part of the University of Delhi. It is among the oldest institutions of commerce, arts and Science in Delhi. The institute is maintained by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. It began its first class with only 49 students and 6 faculty members. The campus of the institute provides all the facilities required by the students. The institute comprises 18 undergraduate, 12 postgraduate degree programmes and certificate courses. It follows the academic curriculum of Delhi University.
