    Pedagogy at IITs and conventional engineering colleges differs quite a lot. Conventional Engineering colleges teachers do not have flexibility to modify syllabus and use modern teaching technologies. They focus on covering syllabus and more on remembrance of facts and examinations are subjective. Whereas teaching at IITs is focused on developing sound theoretical base and its application using logical and creative thinking by students. IIT facility has lot of freedom in setting course curriculum and grading. IITs have best of facilities with sharper student population.
