How is the weather condition in the city where LPU is located? What kind of clothes should I carry with me while joining the campus?

Dear Sameeksha, I have completed my 2 years in LPU and also I am from Punjab, so I can give you clarity of the weather in LPU. In the month of September, October, and March, the temperature is normal and varies from 16-27 degrees centigrade. In the month of November, December, and February, the temperature is normal and varies from 3-19 degrees centigrade. It is cold in these months. In the month of April to August, the temperature is normal and varies from 20-40 degrees centigrade. It is a hot day in these months. But in LPU, you won't feel hot as the campus is green and fresh air is always there on the campus. LPU is spread over 600 acres campus having 3000+ students and 3500+ faculty and staff. The region lying near the foot hills of Himalayas receive heavy rainfall whereas the region lying at a distant from the hills, the rainfall is scanty and the temperature is high. The summer months are followed by the rainy seasons. They are the summer months that spans from mid April to the end of June. The rainy season in Punjab is from the months of early July to end of September. The winter season in Punjab is experienced during the months of early December to the end of February. The transitional Seasons in Punjab are the post monsoon season and the post winter season. Summer in Punjab actually commences from mid April. But the temperature starts rising from February onwards. The summer months are followed by the rainy seasons. Generally, the rainy season in Punjab begins in the first weeks of July. It ranges from 250mm to 1000mm. The agriculture of the state highly depends on the rains. The monsoon is brought by the monsoonal winds blowing over the Bay of Bengal. The winter season in Punjab is mostly experienced in the month of January, when the temperature falls to 5 degree in the night and it is around 12 degree in the morning. The post monsoonal transitional season remains quite fair and dry. In the post winter transitional season, hail storms and brief showers occur which causes damage to the crops. During the end of the March, the wind becomes dry. The Punjab Climate has been a great factor in contributing to the economy of the state.

Hi, there I can say that about the weather of Punjab Kapurthala. I have studied there and during semester time the weather will be quite nice. You will don't feel that high or low temperature but yes let me tell you what will be the scenario for the weather in both semesters. Many students come there across the world which made me feel like in a foreign country. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 550+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. Scholarships: I got maximum scholarship while studying there. LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students who have a good academic record, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything.
