It is not that bad. If you have money and interest in the field you can take it. You will definitely gain knowledge and exposure to the culture and the latest technology. If you are just looking for the degree it is not advisable to take the course in VIT. According to the placement, VIT is not good

The percentage of your tuition fee refunded depends entirely on when you submit the withdrawal request.  The final dates or full and partial tuition fee refund are inclined to the official commencement of the classes, which usually starts in July.

Advance fee in VIT is partial amount that must be paid after seat allotment to book allocated seat. It can vary for different categories. Once candidate makes payment, he/she is not allowed to attend further rounds of counselling.
