The PMP certification is valid for 3 years from the date you pass the exam. After this period, PMP holders must earn 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) through continuous learning and professional development to maintain their certification.

    You can earn PDUs by:

    • Participating in training courses.
    • Attending PMI chapter events or webinars.
    • Contributing to the project management community (e.g., volunteering, teaching, etc.).

At the end of the 3-year period, if you have earned the required PDUs, you can renew your PMP certification by submitting your PDU records to PMI.
