Hi, Normally the work permit is given for 1 yer which is after completing your studies. Obviously the duration is of one yr. It is normally given to student to explore and get a job in there related field. By related field I mean to say the field in which you have completed your studies in NZ. If yo

Hi Preet, I think you are asking about the permit that students get to look for a job??? If that is so then it is for one year. And if you are able to find a job within this period and achieve 140 points with or without job you can apply for permanent residency. You can visit the Nz immigration site
