    New York University breaks private university record for first-year applications for its Class of 2029. It received over 120,000 applications – more than any other private university. So, around 6,500 students will join the incoming class of NYU's three degree granting campuses in New York, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi. From the last 2 years, NYU has maintained an acceptance rate of 8%. Considering the acceptance rate, NYU has highly selective at the time of admission. A comparative analysis of the number of applications received and admit rate is given below for the past years:
