There is no limit to the number of attempts the AFCAT exam. Candidates falling within the prescribed age limit can appear for the exam. As per AFCAT eligibility, applicants must be 20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of course). The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years (at the time of commencement of course).

Age limit:
Flying Branch: 20-24 years. Ground Duty (Technical )20-26 years. Ground Duty (non-technical): 20-26 years. The Air Force Common Admission Test exam is conducted twice every year by the IAF (Indian Air Force) in the months of February and August. Advertisements inviting applications for the Air Force Common Admission Test are out in the months of June and December.
