There is no limit on the exam attempts for CAT and GATE. You can write it as many times as you can. But I would suggest you to take the exam without a gap year I. e. straight after you graduate or with work experience without any gap in between. GATE and CAT, for both of these exams, there is no limit for the attempts. You can appear for these exams as many time as you want.
