The number of attempts at the CDS exam for the OTA is unlimited. You can take this exam as many times as you want until you reach the age limit of the Officers Training Academy. As per UPSC guidance, there is no cap on the number of attempts in the CDS (OTA). There is, however, a restriction on age, which is 25 years. To be considered for OTA, you need to be between the ages of 19 and 25 years old, and this is the same for males and females. Also, you must have completed your degree to apply for OTA. The next exam cycle will be held in January 2023.
