How many backlogs are allowed for the Canada student visa?

Some universities in Canada accept a maximum of 5 backlogs, with a condition that candidates must have scored a minimum of 70 percent in the undergraduate degree. Apart from this, for Postgraduate degree programmes, some universities accept a maximum of 7 or 8 backlogs if the candidate has scored 6.
