Every year, the number of candidates who pass the CSIR NET exam and are eligible for Lectureships (LS) changes depending on a number of criteria including the number of openings, the exam's difficulty level, and the number of candidates who took the exam. The CSIR determines the LS cut-off score depending on candidates' exam results. Candidates who meet all other eligibility requirements and score at or above the LS cut-off point are given consideration for lectureships.
