There are about 60+ Engineering colleges in Kolkata. Of these, 50 are private colleges, 12 are government colleges, and public-private own 1 Engineering college. WBJEE and JEE Main are the most accepting entrance tests for the top Engineering colleges in Kolkata. Top colleges are Jadavpur University
