International students in Germany can work a maximum of 20 hours a week during academics. However, during vacations, students are allowed to work a upto 40 hours a week.
Over the course of an year, international students can work a maximum of 140 full days or 280 half days, per government regulations.
Working more than 4 hours a day is described as working full-time, while less than 4 hours a day, is described as part-time in Germany.
