The marks in class 12th vary from institution to institution. From this year onward JEE has made it 75% in class 12. BITS, Pilani already has 75% in class 12th. Universities like Lovely Professional University, Amity University, etc. take admission on 60% in class 12th. The percentage in class 12 is followed by test like JEE or universities own test.

You must secure atleast 75% to be eligible to take the JEE and BITSAT, etc. your admission into a good engineering college will then depend on your performance in these competitive exams.
