a year agoThere is no restriction as to how many students can appear for this entrance exam for selecting candidates for admission directly into the third semester of 8-semester engineering courses. You indeed have scored quite well in your Diploma exam and with this, I am sure you will be able to score quite well in DTU LEET exam also and make sure that you get the desired branch. In the DTU LEET (Delhi Technological University Lateral Entry Entrance Test) for CSE (Computer Science Engineering), Physics and Chemistry are typically not included for Diploma students. The subjects generally covered in the exam for lateral entry students are:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Mechanics
- Computer Science & Engineering Basics (such as Data Structures, Programming Languages)
- Basic Electrical Engineering
The focus is more on technical subjects related to the engineering discipline, especially computer science, rather than basic sciences like Physics and Chemistry.
Approximately 45 to 60 seats are available for B.Tech in mechanical engineering through LEET. Candidates must know that the number differs in each institute and this is an average estimate.
