Hi Harsh,
There are 23 chromosomes in cell. They are found in pairs i.e. 46 chromosome (2 of each). Also, for your knowledge, I would like to tell you one Science fact that a small little butterfly contains 238 chromosome.
As a student of biology, I would also like to tell you that, these 46 chromosomes (2 of each) plays a vital role in human body.
Among these chromosome, if there is an absence of any chromosome, it would led to many chromosomal abnormalities like, Down's syndrome, Klinefelter's Syndrome, etc. Try to ask more and more questions to gain knowledge about alchemy of Biology. -
