SSC CGL vacancies are released for about 50-60 posts available in different departments and organisations of the Government of India. The Staff Selection Commission is the Central recruitment agency which recruits the candidates for Group C and some Group B posts. The Central Government departments and ministries send their requisition to the Commission based on which the total number of vacancies is decided. The candidates need to check the official notification and the official website from time to time because the Commission changes the number of SSC CGL vacancies frequently.
