I had given December MAT and got 85 percentile. Attempted just 64 question from logics and English. I left other two. I got 58 questions correct. So my take is don't go for whole paper just go for section in which you find yourself comfortable but try to get good percentile in those too. I got 98 and 92 percentile in IR and verbal.

This totally depends on the paper pattern, other students performances, and paper difficulty. There is no specific answer for this.

Good morning dear, for a score of 80 percentile in MAT one must attempt 60 questions and out of those 60 a minimum of 55 questions should be correct. Here, it is not mandatory to attempt all five sections. Candidate may skip general awareness. Thanks and all the best.
