How many rounds are there in JoSAA Counselling?

<p>For 26 IIITs, 31 NITs, 23 IITs, and 38 other government-funded technical institutes (Other-GFTIs), JoSAA oversees the six-round admissions process. <p>JoSAA counselling is usually held in 5 or 6 rounds. The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) will be done by JoSAA in various rounds deending on various factors. In these rounds, candidates are allotted seats based on their JEE Main or JEE Advanced rank and preferences filled by them during registration. Candidates who are allotted seats have to either accept or float the seat.</p>
