Karnataka Examinations Authority is responsible for conducting the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) in the state of Karnataka. The participating institutes in PGCET Karnataka offer seats to qualified candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam. KEA allocates these seats in two allotment rounds. However, before the real allotment round starts, KEA releases a mock seat allotment result for all the candidates who completed the option entry process. This mock allotment helps candidates to understand the process and the seat allocation system.

With a PGCET MBA rank of around 5000 under the OBC-NCL category, plus having the NCC quota, you stand a good chance of getting admission into reputed colleges. Based on previous year cutoffs, colleges like Acharya Institute of Technology, Dayananda Sagar University, RNS Institute of Technology, NMAM Institute of Technology, IFIM Institutions, BN Bahadur Institute of Management, and Christ Academy are all possible options. Since OBC seats usually go higher and NCC quota adds weightage, you should actively participate in all counselling rounds for better chances.

However, there is a drastic increase in the cutoff for the MBA in Retail Management between 2023 and 2024.  The increase in cutoff ranks is present in almost every MBA course offered by JSS Science and Technology University. From the current data, candidates can expect the closing ranks to increase this year as well.
