Hi, many of the reputed engineering colleges (IITs and NITs) are highly selective in their admission process with the number of available seats being only 1-2% of the number applying.
As for the total number of seats in Electrical Engineering batch ( IITs and NITs ) you may refer to the below link

At present 18 per batch, AICTE has invited proposals to increase strength to 30 per batch subject to infrastructure and facilities.
