Generally speaking, UG courses in Commerce are of three years duration whereas PG programme are of two years duration. Among Commerce courses, students can consider selecting from specialised fields such as accounting and finance, banking and finance, accounting and taxation, actuarial Science, business administration, applied economics, e-commerce, financial accounting, banking and insurance, human resources, entrepreneurship, accounting and auditing, etc. Some functions performed by commerce graduates (and the work profiles they get in jobs) are accounting, auditing, corporate restructuring, foreign collaborations and joint ventures, finance, taxation, tax consulting, secretarial and corporate governance arbitration and conciliation, financial management, project planning, capital market and investor relations, corporate advisory services, Cost and Management Accountants (earlier referred to as Cost and Works Accountants) are responsible for budgeting, cost management, performance evaluation and asset management within a company or organisation.
