Every year, more than 16 Lakh students appear for the BSEB class 10 exams. As per the data shared by the board, in 2024, a total of 16,64,252 students appeared for the BSEB Matric exam and out of which, 13,79,542 students passed. The overall pass percentage in BSEB 10th exams 2024 stood at 82.91%. In 2023, a total of 16,10,657 students appeared for the exam. Out of which, 13,05,203 students passed the exam. While 3,05,454 candidates were unable to qualify the exam. Last year (In 2022), 16,11,099 students appeared for the exam while 12,86,971 students managed to clear the Bihar Board Matric exams.

In BSEB (Bihar School Examination Board) 12 th, even when you fail to score a pass in the compartment exam, you tend to have things to do. You may sit to a "Special Exam" or "Improvement Exam" in the subject (s) failed in the next year, together with the next group of ordinary students.It is usually not allowed to substitute a lower main subject with a wholly different main subject, however, after failing.
