Banaras Hindu University (BHU), also formally known as central hindu college was established in 1916 in the city Varanasi by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The university got recognition from UGC and accredited with an A grade by NAAC. As per NIRF Ranking 2023, it ranked 5 th among the Top Universities of India.
