We don't know about the selection and rejections of the admission process. College have certain criteria on which they select and rejections.
Your frd may have good marks in some of the subject which college is looking for.

Hi Viky. The selection is completely depend on the performance of students in GD& PI round as it hold the highest number Percentage of weight-age which is 70%. Every year 20000+ application comes to Sri Balaji Society out of which only 1000 is selected which means there is definitely a rejection also. Due to good performance in In GD and PI round students get selected.
