    The number of subjects in the PSTET (Punjab Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam varies depending on the paper that the candidate chooses to appear for. PSTET Paper 1 consists of 5 subjects, namely: 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language-1 (Punjabi) 3. Language-2 (English) 4. Mathematics 5. Environmental Studies PSTET Paper 2 consists of 5 subjects, namely: 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language-1 (Punjabi) 3. Language-2 (English) 4. Mathematics and Science 5. Social Studies/Social Science.
