From CUET UG 2025 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th.

The exam covers a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English. When selecting domain subjects, students must choose one language and three topics from Section B1 or B2. Students pursuing a BSc (Hons) in Botany, Biological Sciences, or Zoology must take Physics, Chemistry, and Biology courses. Students interested in courses in Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics must take at least one language subject, mathematics, and any two subjects from B1 or B2, one of which should be from Section B1.
