    The Union Public Service Commission notified approximately 474 vacancies in the ESE (IES) 2026 exam. The Commission will conduct the IES 2026 prelims exam on Feb 8, 2026. The Commission issued the IES 2026 notification on September 26, 2025 and the last date to apply online for the UPSC ESE (IES) 2026 is October 16, 2025.

    The Commission will also provide the opportunity to change the IES 2026 application details once in the within a week after the closing of UPSC IES 2026 applications.

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 167 vacancies for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), also known as the Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam, for the year 2024. The preliminary exam for IES 2024 is scheduled to be held on February 18, 2024. The notification for IES 2024 was released on September 6, with the last date for online applications being September 26.

    Additionally, the UPSC will allow candidates to modify their application details for IES 2024 once within a week after the closing of the application window.
