Certain pursuits go on endlessly. So is the case with Economics. The study goes on. It is not a 9-5 job. It is academic in nature.

    Hi Akanksha,
Economists analyse issues related to growth and development, welfare and policy formulation, and assess their long and short term significance for the country. Economics is the study of production and distribution processes and the most effective means of utilizing available resources.
    How do I get there?
    - Std XII (Stream : Commerce with Maths or Science PCM)
    - Graduation- Bachelors in Economics(Hons)
    - Postgraduation- Masters*/ IES exam*
    - Goal- Economist
It would take approximately 5 years to become an economist.
